📜 Terms of Service — Honest Home Repairs LLC

Welcome to Honest Home Repairs LLC. By browsing our website, utilizing our online booking tools, approving a quote, or authorizing our team to perform work, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

Honest Home Repairs LLC is strictly a residential and commercial repair, installation, and maintenance company.

• What We Do: We specialize in "honey-do" lists, preventative maintenance tracking, smart home upgrades, and minor cosmetic or functional repairs.
• What We Do Not Do: We do not handle large-scale structural additions, major remodeling, roofing, full-house plumbing repipes, or heavy commercial electrical rewiring. If a project requires a massive general contracting crew or municipal trade permit inspections, we reserve the right to decline direct service.

• Upfront Flat-Rate Model: We operate primarily on a transparent, upfront flat-rate pricing system so you know costs before work begins.
• Virtual Estimates: We provide free virtual estimates based on client-submitted photos and videos. These estimates are accurate assuming normal site conditions.
• On-Site Diagnostics: If an on-site walkthrough or physical troubleshooting is required for a complex job, a non-refundable $125 dispatch fee will be charged. If you approve the project, this full $125 will be credited directly toward the final labor invoice.
• Payment Due: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the authorized work. We accept all major credit cards securely via our online Client Portal.

For urgent requests outside of standard operating hours, our emergency billing structure applies:

• First Hour Minimum: $400.00 minimum for the first hour of on-site emergency dispatch.
• Subsequent Hours: $240.00 per hour for each additional hour.
• Per-Technician Billing: Emergency rates are calculated and billed per technician needed on-site to safely resolve the issue.

To respect our technicians' schedules and ensure timely service for all neighbors, we enforce a strict scheduling policy:

• We require a minimum of 48 business hours' notice for all project cancellations or reschedules.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 business hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee up to the value of our standard $125 dispatch fee.

• Fixture On-Site: Unless you select our specialized Store Pickup Add-On, you are responsible for having all new cosmetic fixtures (faucets, ceiling fans, blinds, TV mounts, furniture boxes) on-site and in the workspace prior to our arrival.
• Working Utilities: The client must ensure that all relevant main utilities (water shut-offs, electricity, electrical panels) are fully functional, accessible, and up to code before work begins.

• Our Labor Warranty: We take immense pride in our work. Honest Home Repairs LLC provides a 1-year warranty on all labor and craftsmanship. If an issue arises due to our installation within 365 days, we will come back and fix it free of charge.
• No Material Warranty: We provide absolutely zero warranty on parts, materials, or fixtures supplied by the client. If a client-supplied fixture fails due to a manufacturer defect post-installation, the client is responsible for the labor costs associated with removing, exchanging, and replacing it.

• Subcontracting: For multi-step projects, Honest Home Repairs LLC reserves the right to act as your primary contractor and hire fully licensed, insured, and vetted third-party trade specialists to execute portions of the work under our supervision.
• Direct Referrals: If we connect you directly with a third-party professional for a job outside our scope, that agreement is strictly between you and that independent company. We assume no liability for their work, though we maintain a strict, ongoing vetting process and welcome your feedback on their performance.

Our flat-rate pricing assumes that underlying structures are physically sound and up to building codes. Honest Home Repairs LLC is not responsible or liable for pre-existing hidden damages (e.g., hidden wall rot, severely corroded plumbing inside walls, illegal DIY wiring by previous owners) discovered during a standard installation. If hidden issues are uncovered, work will halt immediately to discuss safety, change-orders, or specialty trade requirements.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes or legal proceedings arising from our services shall be handled within the jurisdiction of Cumberland County, NC.
